The story follows an introduction of a stranded society on a distant planet in a far future setting. These human live in a near utopian civilization with infinite recources of the element they call dust, which is a recource for energy and firtile agraculture. Yet this same element surounds them with a denisty that prevents them from moving on this planet and keeps them in one place.
Process: Early sketches and admiration surrounding sublime paintings with posthuman motives. Inspiration from "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley with topics such as creating society and context, creating elements and science as well as finding a voice. Write, proofread, repeat.
Inspiration: "To Be Taught, if Fortunate" by Becky Chambers, "Arrival" by Eric Heisserer, "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley as well as Alan Shapiro and "Breath of the Wild"

Story
The story is about a scientist that lives on a planet far away in the future. Humans on thisplanet use the dust there as an energy source yet cannot leave the dome they live in and arenot interested as well. The scientist however wants to discover what is beyond the dome andmakes an incredible discovery.
Creative Writing:
The biggest challenge within the narrative was to focus on the right description and style for a world that is not described trough hard world building or focus conflict. Furthermore setting the focus on an experience driven, emotional journey and post-human message was difficult. I Haven't found much material for a comparison, that does not take the route of a dystopian future while upholding a poetic language within sci-fi, or post-human stories.
